This pair of huge curvy oversized vases will be stepping out of the studio for the first time, into the Sydney Ceramics Market at Carriage Works on Saturday.
These have taken weeks to slowly hand coil. I had a clear vision of its extreme curvy form from a small footprint and immense size! It’s definitely getting some attention in the studio.I have loved seeing the vision materialise.
It definitely takes time, patience, love and care.

Each piece is turned and trimmed on a potter's wheel, or hand built; it is bisque fired in a kiln to turn the clay into a durable ceramic state.
The ceramic is glazed before being fired one last time so to heat the glaze to its optimal level of melting.
